Core Privacy Guarantee: Concept App - Download Studio Bridge operates strictly as an offline-first local bridge. We do NOT collect, store, sell, or transmit any user browsing history, cookies, personal information, or media downloads to any external server or cloud provider.
1. Overview & Single Purpose
The Concept App - Download Studio Bridge browser extension serves a single utility purpose: to detect downloadable media streams on the web page you are viewing and pass download requests directly to your locally installed Concept App - Download Studio desktop application.
2. Data Collection & Processing
Our extension adheres strictly to the Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards:
- No Off-Device Data Transmission: All communication takes place strictly on your local computer via a localhost loopback interface (
http://127.0.0.1:9666). No web traffic or URLs ever leave your physical machine.
- No Tracking or Analytics: We do not integrate Google Analytics, telemetry scripts, ad networks, or user tracking SDKs.
- Session Cookies: When you voluntarily click "Sync Cookies", the extension retrieves cookies for the current domain solely to allow your local desktop downloader to retrieve protected media streams. Cookies are transmitted directly to your local computer's memory and are never saved to external clouds.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, license, or disclose user data to any third party for marketing, advertising, credit scoring, or data brokering purposes.
3. Permissions Used & Technical Justifications
- notifications: Used exclusively to display desktop toast notifications informing you of the status of dispatched download tasks (e.g. "Task added to Download Studio").
- downloads: Intercepts browser download triggers to hand off large files to the multi-threaded native desktop engine.
- cookies: Allows authenticated stream capture on user request.
- tabs: Reads the title and URL of the active tab when you explicitly click the extension popup to capture media.
- contextMenus: Adds convenient right-click context menu options to download media directly into Concept App Studio.
- storage: Stores your local extension preferences (such as auto-capture preferences) within your browser's private local storage.
4. Children's Privacy
Our application and extension do not target, solicit, or knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
